WJEC Vocational Award Constructing the Built Environment Level 1/2
AC3.3 Evaluate quality of construction tasks The construction industry has always had issues with negative outcomes. These issues often relate to untimely delivery, poor health and safety, image and poor quality. If the individuals within the industry improve their delivery standards, then these basic outcomes will also improve and so will those of the industry. SKILLS Evaluation By introducing process and procedures into your daily working routine you can greatly improve the outcomes of health and safety, the programme, quality, cost and image. In doing so, the construction industry has an increased chance of greater sustainability. KNOWLEDGE Use the skills, knowledge and understanding that you have learnt and apply them to your projects. UNDERSTANDING When you consistently apply what you have learnt, learn what aspects can be improved upon and then apply these improvements so that you make the most of your three precious things: 1 Health 2 Time 3 Resources APPLICATION Complete a process quality check sheet, as seen on the next two pages, for every task that you execute. They can be downloaded from the dedicated website. Learn from them and continually improve your skills.
